How SofLi handles personal information during the current preview of our website and consultation services.

Effective date: August 27, 2026

Last updated: August 27, 2026

SofLi ("SofLi," "we," "us," or "our") operates sofli.io and provides early-stage software consultation, project planning, and related coordination services.

This Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal information during the current preview of our website and consultation services. It applies when you visit our website, use a guided consultation, contact us, or ask us to help plan or coordinate a potential software project.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

  • Contact and business information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, company name, role, and communication preferences.
  • Project information, such as your business goals, requested features, technical requirements, budget range, timeline, consultation answers, feedback, and project-related files or messages you choose to provide.
  • Communications, including information contained in emails, support requests, meeting notes, and other communications with SofLi.
  • Website and technical information, such as pages viewed, referring page, approximate location, browser and device type, operating system, request information, performance measurements, and security or diagnostic logs.

Please do not submit passwords, API keys, private keys, production credentials, payment-card numbers, Social Security numbers, protected health information, production data, or other sensitive or regulated information through our consultation tools or ordinary email. Do not provide another person's personal information unless you have authority to do so.

How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Respond to questions and communicate with you;
  • Understand a potential project and its requirements;
  • Prepare consultation results, project plans, scopes, estimates, and proposals;
  • Coordinate with a development or delivery partner when you request or approve that coordination;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and consultation experience;
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents;
  • Maintain appropriate business and legal records; and
  • Comply with law, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

We will not use information submitted for a materially different purpose without providing additional notice or obtaining consent where required.

AI-Assisted Consultation

Our guided consultation uses a third-party artificial-intelligence service to help interpret your responses and prepare a draft project plan or scope. Content you enter into the consultation may be sent to that provider for this purpose.

AI-generated material may be incomplete or inaccurate. SofLi reviews or expects users to review important outputs before relying on them. Do not enter credentials, secrets, sensitive personal information, or regulated data into an AI-assisted feature.

We select and configure service providers with privacy and security considerations in mind, but their processing may be subject to their applicable service terms and our arrangements with them. This Notice does not promise that information is never retained or reviewed by a provider unless SofLi expressly states otherwise in a separate written agreement.

Website Analytics and Essential Technologies

SofLi uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand website traffic and performance. These services may process information such as pages viewed, referring site, general location, browser and device type, operating system, and Core Web Vitals.

Vercel states that Web Analytics stores anonymized data, does not use cookies, and does not associate its analytics records with an individual visitor or IP address. Speed Insights collects real-user performance measurements. These analytics practices are separate from hosting and security processes, which may temporarily process IP addresses and other request information to deliver and protect the website.

The website may also use cookies or similar local technologies that are necessary for sign-in, security, preferences, or basic functionality. SofLi does not currently use consultation submissions for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: We use providers for hosting, website infrastructure, analytics, AI-assisted processing, communications, authentication, security, and other operational support. They may process information as needed to provide their services to SofLi.
  • Development and delivery partners: When you request a quote, approve a scope, or ask us to coordinate a project, we may share relevant project information and contact details with a potential or selected partner. We seek to limit the disclosure to information reasonably needed for that purpose.
  • Professional advisers and business transactions: We may disclose information to legal, accounting, insurance, or other professional advisers, or in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of business assets.
  • Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, investigate fraud or security incidents, enforce an agreement, or protect the rights, property, or safety of SofLi, our users, or others.
  • At your direction: We may disclose information when you ask us to do so or otherwise consent.

During the current preview, SofLi does not sell the contact or project information you submit to us for money and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, evaluate or perform a project, maintain business and legal records, resolve disputes, protect the Services, and fulfill the purposes described in this Notice.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete or deidentify it. Information may remain for a limited period in backups or where retention is required for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes. A third party acting independently, such as a development partner you engage, may apply its own retention practices.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so please use care when deciding what information to provide.

If you believe information you provided to SofLi has been compromised, contact us at privacy@sofli.io.

Your Choices and Privacy Rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information that SofLi maintains about you. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights, such as data portability or the right to appeal a decision concerning a privacy request.

To submit a request, email privacy@sofli.io. Please describe the request and identify the email address or interaction involved. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request. Some information may be retained where permitted or required by law.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Children's Privacy

SofLi's website and consultation services are intended for businesses and adults and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to SofLi, contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

Third-Party Sites and Services

Our website may link to services operated by other companies. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and we encourage you to review those notices before providing personal information.

Changes to This Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice as our Services and practices develop or as legal requirements change. We will post the revised Notice with a new "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use or disclose information already collected, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
